Updates from the RI USH Special Interest Group

Global Usher Awareness Day Sep 21st 2019:
Sep 21st marks the autumnal equinox, when daylight hours in the northern hemisphere diminish and nights with darkness become longer. This is a metaphor for the progressive vision loss in Usher syndrome. Awareness and Fundraising Campaigns and various events by and for people with Usher Syndrome are being held all over the world with the aim to promote research and to find treatments and a cure to preserve or restore vision in individuals with Usher syndrome.
USH SIG Kick-Off Meeting in Paris Sep 21st 2019:
The committee of the recently established Retina International Special Interest Group for Usher Syndrome holds its first annual face2face meeting in Paris on Global Usher Awareness Day!
