The European Disability Forum are collaborating with their partners Age Platform Europe on the #AgeingEqual campaign.
They are together working on highlighting the intersection of Ageism and disability and will focus on this issue in the week from 3 to 9 December 2018.
The campaign focuses on raising awareness of ageism and its negative consequences on people's capacity to fully enjoy their human rights. They are seeking testimonials, good practices or other information that would speak to this. If you are interested and would like to contribute, please send to email@example.com by the 25th November 2018.
If you wish to submit a blog post on the topic of ageism and disability, they ask that you please note the following conditions:
"The post must be about 200 to 250 words long. We ask for posts written in a plain language (please, avoid jargon and acronyms) so it is understandable by a wide audience. Thus, if you decide to use research findings, that’s all fine but keep in mind that visitors may have no expertise of issues related to ageism, ableism or human rights. Your post does not have to be based on evidence or statistics though; you can also decide to go for something that is more engaging, using a personal tone, based on your experience or on stories you’ve heard from others. This is a campaign so for feel free to be bold!".
